Your frequently asked questions answered

What is Area?

Area is an all-in-one procurement software that simplifies contractor qualification, risk assessment, and monitoring.

What type of checks does Area perform?

Area thoroughly qualifies contractors across six categories, such as business checks, safety records, litigation history, insurance coverage, financial health, and job history.

How reliable are these verifications?

While running checks, Area pulls records directly from verified sources. This includes EIN/SSN matching with IRS, entity information and filing status with all 50 Secretaries of State. The same applies to trade licenses, M/WBE certificates, union affiliation, and OSHA safety records.

What documents can Area handle?

Area collects all sorts of docs, including W-9s, COIs, surety letters, financial statements, letters of credit, safety programs, you name it. Each document is extracted and mapped with Area LLM.

Does Area track expiration dates?

Yes, Area tracks expiration dates and notifies contractors to update any document or record to stay compliant. For that, we have automated follow-ups and alerts built-in.
